IT-Project Management

In IT project management, technical projects are initiated, planned, organized, controlled, monitored and completed. It is used to manage and coordinate projects and to ensure that they are completed on time, within budget and according to initial requirements. It also includes the use of tools to manage resources, create project plans, monitor project schedules and create project status reports.

What you can expect from the university course

Content focus

The university course "IT Project Management" has the following content and therefore focus:

  • Project initialization: You will be able to create a project assignment, define, prioritize and delimit project objectives, carry out a project environment analysis and a relationship analysis.
  • Project planning: You will be able to set up a project organization, structure objects of consideration and projects, specify work packages, create project function diagrams, plan milestones and project phases, carry out scheduling and process planning, create personnel deployment planning and carry out project cost planning.
  • Project coordination: You will be able to create a final project report, write project documentation, write a project progress report and carry out a work package acceptance.

  • People who want to pursue a career in software management and focus on the organization and management behind the projects.
  • Entrepreneurs who would like to acquire specialist knowledge in software management for their company in order to be able to achieve their goals within the specified framework and in high quality through efficient project management

Requirements

open to all interested persons who already have professional experience in the field of software management or are new to the field and have a university entrance qualification or a degree as a basic requirement
