SMEs face limitations due to the small domestic market, scarce resources and the desire for higher incomes for employees. In the future, they will be forced to tap into foreign markets, for which they lack the necessary expertise because

  1. the international market differs from the domestic market and
  2. the internationalisation process for SMEs is different from that of large companies.

The COMMON CHALLENGE is to establish new digital solutions tailored to the needs of SMEs. This will provide SMEs with a network of established digital innovation centres which will be tested with pilot tests on the Polish market. The general objective of the project is to increase the number of internationalised SMEs in the border area, with a focus on companies offering products and services in the field of Industry 4.0 or digitalisation process, which must meet the requirements for entering a foreign market.

The Carinthia University of Applied Sciences, the Pomurje Technology Park from Slovenia and the companies ROBOTEH and Augmensys are partners in this project, which will run until the end of 2022.
