The main objective is to increase the number of internationally orientated SMEs in the cross-border sector. Go2 Benelux & Scandinavia stands for a common approach to support the internationalisation of SMEs through joint cross-border initiatives and the development of common smart services. The aim of the project is to facilitate internationalisation, smart specialisation and cross-border learning and competence development by developing transnational links between SME networks, clusters and other specialised research and innovation hubs for the benefit of their members.

Specific goals:

1. To strengthen the international visibility and attractiveness of the border region in Benelux and Scandinavia.
2. To promote transnational networks, partnerships and strategic alliances between cluster organisations, companies and universities, leading to new collaborative business models, commercialised applications, products and services.
3. The development of tools to support internationalisation.
4. Improving innovation policy capabilities and creating added value for participating cross-border areas of smart specialisation.

The partners in this research project, which has been running since spring 2018, are the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences, the Pomurje Technology Park from Slovenia and the companies PMS and MMS&SS. This project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and aims to promote cross-border cooperation between Slovenia and Austria.
