The "Safe and Intelligent Workspaces" project pursues the innovative main objective of generating basic principles and
models for the creation of a safe, efficient and progressive industrial working environment based on artificial intelligence and digital assistance systems as well as empirical data from Styrian industrial companies. In Module 1, in-depth analyses of accident reports from industry are carried out using mathematical, statistical, machine learning and artificial intelligence methods to identify characteristic hazardous situations. The aim of Module 1 is to use AI-supported models and simulations to analyze and identify accident risks and generate basic knowledge to reduce these risks. Module 2 uses a generic production process to develop a system for the holistic analysis, design and evaluation of smart workplaces in the manufacturing industry. The aim of Module 2 is to develop fundamental findings, taking into account all relevant influencing perspectives (from the degree of innovation and personnel to the requirements of the technology and the IT system) in order to increase the decision-making competence of employees on the store floor.
