InGe - Innovation in communities

Period: 07/2019 – 12/2019

Austrian regions, characterized by small political structures and, in some cases, geographical remoteness, have often lost their technological and touristic connection. Years of attempts to counteract this negative trend have often resulted in the typical "brand" of a municipality becoming "indifferent" attempts to imitate national and international examples, which have done little to restore the strength of regional power and authenticity.

The aim of this project is to apply a completely new approach to regional and community development, but not to participate in an existing "regional development strategy". We combine resource thinking and frugal innovation in order to enable the further development of the community and the organizations located in it. The essential thing here is to recognize and document existing resources in the community in order to derive frugal innovations on the basis of what is already there/authentic.
