EducAItion – Generative AI and Education. A troublesome relation?!

The emergence and increasing use of generative AI in education is troubling educational actors and institutions alike. On the other hand is education key for challenging the techno-utopian narratives and promises around generative AI, its impact on individuals, communities and society more generally. In this talk I explore sociotechnical imaginaries around generative AI in education and some of the responses that we have seen so far.

Her research attends to the increasing importance of digital data and algorithmic systems in the public sector, education and for ageing populations.
