Dr. Udo Traussnigg is head of the Automation Technology, Smart Automation and Automation Technology Business Degree programs, with Dipl.-Ing. Dieter Lutzmayr and Dr. Gregor Kandare acting as his deputies.

Six full-time lecturers provide support with their specialist expertise in the teaching according to the three basic pillars of the department: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering/electronics and computer science.

The more than 90 external lecturers, who come from numerous well-known companies in Styria and pass on their practical knowledge in the respective subject areas and courses, are only inconspicuously represented in the organization chart.

Last but not least, the student representatives should also be mentioned. Through consistent dialog between equal partners, many problems can be resolved in advance, always with the aim of creating an optimal academic environment for students, teaching staff and administration.
