Our master's degree programme Automation Technology-Business is the ideal complement to the foundational education in the bachelor's degree programme Automation Technology. Start your professional career with the master's degree programme that specifically trains executives for technology and business. Our programme prepares you to independently take on management and development tasks in companies both domestically and internationally . The focus is on a variety of activity areas, from strategic management and project management to corporate leadership.

Our graduates distinguish themselves through their skills in planning, designing, implementing and coordinating projects. They are capable of understanding complex correlations, selecting appropriate technologies and making forward-looking decisions. After completing the master's degree programme, a wide range of career opportunities are available to you, including process optimization, product and production planning, research and development, product and process development and test bench development. Additionally, you can demostrate your abilities in service development, contruction management, engineering management, product and resource management, observation technology, as well as project leadership and management. What to expect from your studies

Focus

We deepen and expand your technical expertise and impart essential management and business aspects during the 3-semester programme. Upon completing this degree programme, you will be able to professionally handle all aspects from development to maintenance of automated systems and processes. Additionally, we enhance your personal skills through courses such as negotiation techniques, leadership and staff management. The core areas of the programme include identification and system integration, material handling and logistics, data transmission technology, control engineering, funtional safety, industrial management, quality management and technology and development management. In the second semester, you will have to select two electives that complement your individual skills and interests. The options include QM-management or business planning, as well as environmental technology or maintenance. Our extra-occupational master's degree programme allows you to work full-time simultaneously. It is however not mandatory to be employed.

Main Focus

Students acquire in-depth training in technical subjects. Networked thinking is encouraged, and various aspects of management within a company are taught.

 

Projects and practice

Master's theses with a technical focus address specific tasks from the industry, allowing theoretical knowledge to be immediately applied in practice. Captains (technical experts and managers from the industry) serve as mentors to the students.

Requirements

The admission requirement for the master's degree programme in Automation Technology-Business is a completed bachelor's degree programme in a relevant field or an equivalent degree programme at a recognised national or international post-secondary educational institution.

The two-tier system of academic education also gives graduates of other degree programmes and other universities in Austria and abroad the opportunity to enter the master's degree programme at CAMPUS 02 UAS.
