We are taking an extraordinary step and raise the FH CAMPUS 02 flag in the Adriatic Sea. During our “Study & Sail” excursion, the lecture hall in the 5th semester of the Bachelor's degree course in Automation Technology is replaced by the vastness of the sea and sail yachts.
On September 30, 2023, a total of 21 students, 2 lecturers and 10 experienced skippers set off on a unique adventure at 07:00 a.m.
The study excursion took the crews to the picturesque Marina Kastela, where they created a new working and living space for the next four days on five sail yachts. Scientific content was taught and team building and creativity were strongly encouraged. The courses took place in a unique environment - on and below deck, the students worked intensively in small groups on a variety of tasks. The event was enriched by a guest lecture from representatives of the University of Split, thus strengthening the cooperation between CAMPUS 02 University of Applied Sciences and the Croatian educational institution.

The impressions and experiences we gained were extremely positive and will have a lasting impact on both the current class and everyone involved. It was amazing to see how the students developed over the course of the trip and how their team spirit was taken to a new level. The trip was not only a study excursion, but also a lesson in trust and cooperation. The students learned that in order to be successful together, they need to rely on the skills and strengths of their fellow students. These valuable experiences will undoubtedly be useful in their future academic and professional lives.”
